    Dpends on the version you're using. Skype retired all older versions. Yours is likely one of the older ones.

    Use this version, which is the last working version for BB10.

    Install, run once, close, reboot device, wait 10 minutes, then enjoy.

    Microsoft discontinued older versions of Skype but a new change this week has been the Android Appstore version that still works on Fire OS no longer works on BlackBerry 10. The compatibility list has been updated accordingly, now specifying Amazon Fire HD / HDX devices.

    If others experience something different I'd be keen to know.
