I know the BB10 ver. can use till the end of this year, but after that android ver. maybe the only way. I follow the step provide by Cobalt and successful activate the whatsapp, but the notification sometimes delay or not working. Am I missing something?

You don't patch WhatsApp.

Just use the most recent version, and tap outside the warning box when it asks about Google Play Services.

How's the notifications. ? Are they instant or delayed?

It still delayed randomly. I prefer it cause by the whatsapp account cannot sync automatically. I try to install a force autosync app to fix it. I will update in this thread if I have any further situation.

Just use the native one now that it's "supported" for a few more months. Don't understand why you would want the android version on bb10 unless you absolutely need the video calling function.

Apart from video call there are other features in android whatsApp.

i never see the notifiation end up when i using blackberry Z10 last year. i hate native whatsapp from blackberry world. so i always use whatsapp apk on my10.

I install an android apk called "AutoSync Account", it seems has a little bit improvement to make the message delivery around instant to 5 mins. I need to test it for a longer period to ensure it works.
