Knowing OS 10 is dead, and money being no object, is it worth checking out the PD line just to see what all the fuss is about? I love my Passport, but I've always wanted to run a BlackBerry PD.

Is it worth it to you? 'Worth' is subjective. If you wish to pay extra for something identical internally in a externally different package, that's up to you.

Thanks Bla1ze. Well said. If it is paying more for lipstick on the same pig, then I suppose I will just stock up on Passports. For me they work well. That of course is dependent on whether or not that mercury/dtek70/rumor comes out next summer.

It's the best phone I've owned. But since the .3 update it's without doubt the worst. I have a good supplier where I can purchase a new p9982 for around £400 GBP. But might as well add another £100 and buy the Keynote running an OS that will not be obsolete in a year or so. The big question for me is will I buy another BlackBerry again? I don't want Android but bbos is dead and probably for the best.

It's only working well while there is some support.

When the prices started coming down I had to get one so I started with the P9983 for $500 USD.

From there I was hooked so kept searching for a good deal on the P9981 and finally got one for $350 USD.

At that point I was going to call it quits since I love the qwertys. But the allure of completing the set got to me so I set out to get a P9982 and finally bought on on eBay last night for $300 USD!

Do I use any of these phone as my daily driver? Absolutely not! BBOS and BB10 just doesn't cut for me in 2019 (haven't been able to since 2015 really) so the PD are purely collector items for me.

That said, I loved my Z10 so when the P9982 arrives, I'm going to see if I can survive for just one weekend using it as my daily. I'm not optimistic that it'll go well!
