    SMS.

    Until they start shutting down 3G, which, depending on where you live, will probably be in the next 4-8 years. At that point, however, your device will only work on WIFI and won't be able to make or receive calls at all.

    I know that it's a bit obscure, but Jabber still works with IM+.

    The beta.whatsapp.com/ota link doesn't work anymore. It takes you to the 85 version.

    Anybody got a link for a working version still?

    I was fooling around with my Storm2 last week. ( OS 5 )
    Had tried to setup Whatsapp.
    The message I got was :

    "You can only install account that was previously used with this SIM."

    Funny thing was , that I had used it in the past with the same SIM.

    Tried with an old LG device (Android OS 2.3) downloaded / installed , no problems !

    So ----- there seems to be advantages in Android ( even though outdated ) over other platforms.

    Anyone have a working version of Whatsapp that they can upload? the .85 from the beta ota link no longer supports our devices.
