Hello,

I`m not sure if this is the right place to ask this so in case it isn't, sorry in advance.

The user of a Blackberry Z10, running Blackberry 10.3.3, connected to a Blackberry Enterprise Server 12, has forgotten her device password.

Unfortunately the device is in airplane mode, so no easy resetting it on the Server.

So the (maybe simple) question is, can you set a new device password if the device is connected to a pc with a Wired Activation Tool (which is probely set up and in the same network as the BES)?

-> I tried searching the official BB Site but for this specific tool i only found that you can activate new decives but i recall that i somewhere read that it is indeed possible to set a new password.

Oh wow, now that sounds messy.
I thought the physical usb activation went away in bes12 but could be wrong. Have you tried opening a support incident to see what they had to say??

If device can reach the BES infrastructure then you can reset (change) password from BES ADMIN console for that user.
After doing that in BES Admin console, just update and push things to device by querying and updating device status from BES Admin console.
Sometimes can takes up to 15 min. - 30 min. and sometimes in minute.
