    Another OS 7 user and I have confirmed that we're both seeing the same problem receiving (-not- sending) messages via Gmail. The Yahoo account on my 9930 is able to send and receive. We've both already tried the customary re-sending of service books, deleting/undeleting of service books, and have even gone so far as to remove the account entirely from BIS and re-add it....all to no avail. If it matters, we're both Verizon Wireless customers.

    Is anyone else seeing anything like this? Looks like this problem may have started in the early evening hours (Pacific) on Tuesday, 9/27.

    My iPhone is working just fine, so only BIS seems to be affected.

    It suddenly occurs to me that perhaps I'm asking the wrong question. Is there anyone using Gmail via BIS that ISN'T having this problem?

    I've terminated my BIS account. You could ring your carrier, may be they have a specialist BlackBerry support team? Like Vodafone here, we have a special team that has access to the BlackBerry BIS profiles.

    yes, same here. i'm on AT&T with BIS. gmail stopped working about 7pm PT tues, came back online around lunchtime yesterday. i also fiddled with service books to no avail.

    Yep. I observed this exact same behavior with my VZW 9930. Service restoration at 1205 PDT, to be specific.

    You have to adjust your security trust settings within your gmail account.
