Well, the number in majority stating YES for ANDROID speaks for itself. SURELY YES, BB10 is something only the ones who have used would understand. But then with apps abandoning BB10 OS, Viz, whatsapp, Facebook etc. and with no support to upload or maintain the files on Google drive or to have quintessential apps (let's face it, android is essential for these apps & so do BB users), we do need playstore & google play services & it's google drive on BB10 OS. That would be a killer integration.

I really can't see myself using anything other then the passport keyboard. I never had a physical keyboard until the passport bc the buttons were always too small for me, but this thing is perfect.

I love bb10, but if I had to choose between an android passport or no passport I would switch over to android

You can buy Passport with BB10. Back up your truck and they'll fill it up.

So I know this is a late comment on a relatively inactive post... but my source (read: employee at BB headquarters, software division) told me that BB had an Android Passport ready for launch almost a year ago but Google wouldn't let them release it because of the screen. The 1:1 aspect ratio messed up nearly all of the available apps and Google's TOS wouldn't allow BB to black bar that many apps.

So BlackBerry put a phone through the development life cycle to the point of "ready for launch" and then read Google's TOS.

Or were led by Google to believe it would be ok and the Google changed their mind once they saw the end result.

Yes! Although I do wonder, due to its dimensions how does it fit in men's pant pockets?
I have an OPO with a 5.5" screen and it gets a little annoying not being able to sit comfortably with the phone in the pocket.

To put the rumor to bed, I would point out that the Android OS does not support 1:1 displays, and given the market share of the Passport (the only 1:1 device) it never will.
    Why is that so,
I thought Android Resolution is flexible with regard to the screen?

Only if they change the keyboard to be more like the Priv's (full function with shift and Alt as well as the touch capacity). The hybrid version didn't really work for me (mostly PKB and partly on screen).

They might as well make it a larger device (same width, but taller) for a phablet feel. My eyes would appreciate that.

I don't agree. Android can be a very interesting OS, especially if BlackBerry tweaks it.

Been using BlackBerry for 16 years. I absolutely love the BBOS10. It's the best by far.....but it's become so difficult to hang on to my BlackBerry handset that I've come to a conclusion........bigger things in the world to worry about.
