Pretty odd then that you can run an Android app on a Passport.

That's what the application framework is there for.

More so than the BB10 Passport. It would have a future.

No, I came to BlackBerry in search of an alternative to Android. Then I waited for the best BlackBerry Flagship Device to maximize that software experience. The Passport SE meets my needs, but only running BB10.

Absolutely not! And I also wouldn't buy a Cadillac with a Lada engine. But, hey, that's just me.

So you can run an Android app but not an Android OS... not really believing you. Do not really care as I do not like square screens.

It cost more to develop the software, do R&D, and even had special hardware drivers built for BB10 than they were able to make selling the devices.

I'd love a passport for my work needs - emails, reviewing documents etc, but my company uses a number of apps that are only available on ios and android. An android passport would be perfect!

Although I very much prefer BB10, I would at least take a look at an Android PP.

Definitely..even if some of the apps scaled to 4:3 and then docs or emails used the full screen.

    I'd consider it.

Though there are many unique selling points to BB10, it cannot be ignored that it is effectively a dying platform. Things move on, and I suspect at some point we'll have to do so too.

I have to agree with you. At the end of the day profitability is more important that's why BB has to continuously innovate. I'm a BB lover but it really lacks apps that will appeal to most people that's why they created Priv. I think it would be best to continue producing phones running on Android but incorporate unique and useful BB10 apps like the BB Hub, calendar, calculator, etc. That would be a winning combination. BB Passport running on Android would be perfect for me.
