The passport has been a game changer for me, everyone is totally shocked when they see it. If I could get it with google play services working and all apps work 100% then I'd be sold more, atm it's still a bit glitchy with most apps unfortunately. But I wouldn't want it on Android cause I love the OS

I agree,I'm not a fan of blending BB10 and Android which is precisely what BB did with the Priv. I've owned an OG and now an SE Passport and I have few to none complaints. However if google play services along with play store(android version) were available I'd be more confident with my SE.

Blackberry should just make BBOS better imo, but then also have a Android editions since I'm down for options in the flooded smartphone market.

    Passport is already perfect.

Why worsen it's performance with a crappy OS just to have some more apps..???

No, I was so happy when Priv finally came and had a real keyboard, I was worried it would have a Passport Keyboard as some previews suggested.. I still want a Tab key but I'll make due

The point is, we will not use a most likely to be abandoned OS. Just see recent cb posts, all about priv. I feel like this is not my place anymore. This is android forum, no longer bb10

I personally chose my Passport for the BlackBerry OS, its stability and functionality. I've been with BB since OS 6 back. I barely use android apps. In fact the only android apps I use are youtube, nfl and amazon which I could also access via web. In terms of getting an android phone, I'd getting a rectangular screen as the Passport's square 1:1 ratio can be a pain with most android apps.

All phone OS platforms can email, text, take pictures, multi task and run apps etc. I may have a preference but none is a show stopper except for BB10 / Microsoft which do not have the native apps or even ported apps that I need.

I look forward to BlackBerry improving their "skin" on Android because I prefer their graphics and design sense.

Utimately a phone is just a phone and except for the money you have invested in a particular ecosystem, adaptation is not usually a problem.

No. I am extremely happy and satisfied with OS10. Android cannot match it. BTW I am also using the Priv. My respect and love for Passport has increased manifolds after I used the Android Priv for the first time.
Passport OS10 will always remain my daily driver and Priv I shall use as a back up.

    The answer here is NO.
If there is a Passport 2, better be with BB10 or come out with 2 versions, one with BB10 and one with Android. But not only Android. People don't buy BlackBerry phones for Android, they buy them for a BBRY native OS. In this case, BB10.

I'm anxiously awaiting what BlackBerry phones will be released. March I can get another phone. Was hoping for another version of Passport or another keyboard BlackBerry phone that is not a slider.

With that being said though I would buy Android BlackBerry with full touch screen. Same problem for me since Bb10 release. No good native apps for BB10. Instagram works with android runtime but slow and laggy. I can 't get snap chat to work and I have messed around with Google iD and Google play permissions. The twitter app for bb10, twitter has stopped supporting. All the good apps don't work for BB10. That is why I am awaiting for an affordable BlackBerry android phone. Or I will buy an android phone eventually.

No, I wouldn't. And I think Chen is deluded if he thinks that doing nothing but releasing one PKB after another is going to help BlackBerry.

I would love to get a Passport that had access to all the apps in the Google Play store. I think the scrollable keypad is genius. After playing with a Priv at the AT&T store, I observed that the virtual keyboard with its floating predictive text really helped me type faster. I may not even want a physical keyboard. Give me a Blackberry phablet with an amazing Blackberry virtual keyboard!

I would personally agree with those who have said BB10 is the way forward for the Passport, IMO Android would trade business productivity for the ability to play games (though an Uber app would be pretty handy), I didn't buy a Passport to play games!

To put the rumor to bed, I would point out that the Android OS does not support 1:1 displays, and given the market share of the Passport (the only 1:1 device) it never will.
