I would after changed positions in my company. Excels and emails would look better on a wider device.

Yes. I have never enjoyed using a mobile phone more than my Passport.
    - Wonderful typing and keyboard experience.
    - Unmatched Web browsing capability.
    - Excellent call and speaker quality.
    - Fantastic build quality.
If my Passport was still a viable option in an Android app world, I would still be using it.
If only Google/Android would allow for a square, 1:1 ratio, screen...

I would but only because BB10 isn't very well supported. Were it not for the dearth of apps I'd rather have a normal Passport with BB10.

Passport is three year old hardware (actually four years as the 801 was announced in July 2013)... not sure how well Android Marshmallow (won't run Nougat) would even run on it.

This thread is two years old.... at this point it should be "would you buy a "new" and improved Passport with Android". But then we all know that isn't possible.

You want future-proof.... it doesn't exist, but Apple is the closest thing there is.

I would not. I tried both a OG and SE and didn't like the form factor. Too bulky and heavy. And I didn't like the 3-row keyboard at all.

In a way... yes. But then it also really stood out.

My view is those Porsche Designs were all just as "unattractive".... but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

AFAIR, BB used the Passport to test Android Lollipop in-house ... it was just that they couldn't get this licensed with Google (to get access to the Play Store) as Android doesn't support a 1:1 screen.

The mobile I have is after 4 year dying and im thinking of buying the passport or is it smart to wait on Juno, I mostly not spend more then $400 for a phone and use not much apps, only some travel apps in my country are important to have on my mobile

the BlackBerry Passport was the best phone I've had. I still use it sporadically. So, yes, yes, a thousand times yes. if they made an android passport.

Yes, but please improve the cameras. Wide angle front facing camera is a must. And atleast Snapdragon 636.

Only if it had unlocked bootloader. As long as BlackBerry makes locked down Android devices, I'm not interested.

Sure if it (or any form-factor) is running bb10 with an updated android runtime without the google specific stuff (begrudingly if it was Google/Android). Who cares if google doesn't like it? It's a virtual monopoly, they probably couldn't do much about it given their monopoly position (and how they got to that position in the first place - cartel/OHA) in the global smartphone marketplace anyways....or just a dual-boot option. Also Like the idea of a w-i-d-e-r-slider. Shift/Shift lock key might not hurt adding either (maybe as a single key on a fourth row in extreme left corner (and optionally right) in that extra space on the bottom of the passport SE (no space on the black Passport) - if the 3row form is to remain - and it is pretty good as is) - just sayin'

I will, without question. The form factor of this device is so nice and unique that even if it had Symbian in a new garb I'd grab it all over again. However, I'd wish it came out with a reformed BBOS rather than any other - and BB continues to support it, forever.
