Updated: 64-Bit BlackBerry All Touch Manitoba Specifications -

Now this makes sense and people this phone for 2015 wont be late to the game because the Snapdragon 810 processor wont be commercially available until the first half of 2015.

Snapdragon 810 processors | Qualcomm Snapdragon Processors | Qualcomm

Also according to agent juicy the phone will be 2k or 4k resolution 2160p display as well and not 1080p.

"Q3 2015"... that is a long time from now! Most Z10 users are going to want an upgrade long before that, and a year old Z30 by that time isn't going to be high on the list. Very strange product cycle!

Of course at 5.2" it really isn't a Z10 replacement either......

Remember this is a Z30 replacement not a Z10 replacement......Also the snapdragon 810 wont be available until mid 2015 so this release cycle makes sense and for once in BB life a product with high end specs wont be late to the game. However I do agree with you they need a quad core 3gb ram z10 replacement 720p or 1080p with a bigger battery and amoled screen.

I would think that could mean Fiscal Q3 '15, not Calendar, meaning Q4 2014 Calendar = BB Fiscal Q3 '15

Yeah I saw that after I posted.... but I also saw that it will require BB10.4 for 64bit compatibility. With roughly six-eight months between 10.2 and 10.3, if that holds and going to 64bit doesn't slow anything down. I think March - May would be more likely.

I'm wondering if that's true. Is it not possible for them to adapt 10.3 to work with 64bit?

    Won't 10.4 be and adaption of 10.3....?

Maybe the official release of 10.3 will be 64bit... I haven't seen anything other than that one "rumor" that said that 10.4 would be 64bit and that the Manitoba would have a 64Bit processor. Maybe the Manitoba will work fine with the 32Bit version of 10.3, but will be able to also run the future 64bit version (like most PC's).

Maybe in Chen's guidance or shareholder's meeting next week he will talk about the future...

4GB of RAM seems more likely. I still think that this device is a ways off, since that processor won't be available until early 2015.

It will be a nice device if it launched now. But end of 2015 then the device will be going up against the likes of the Galaxy S6, HTC One M9, iPhone 6S, and LG G4. In that light those specs might not seem all that great.

Yes, that's a common problem with BlackBerry. They have great specs but for last year. Hopefully this will be released sooner than expected and will actually be competitive.

Maybe by then I'll be bored with the LG G3 I'll probably be getting now, since there's no way I'm going to roll with my Z10 for another full year waiting on it...

I will buy one in a minute, but it's all about pricing folks? I am hoping now that are using Foxcom to manufacture their devices, we will see more realistic pricing to get Blackberry OS10 device to masses? Only time will tell.

I don't believe BlackBerry has explicitly said that they will only use Foxconn to manufacture their devices, going forward.

Q3 2015 sounds like a reasonable release date if the Snapdragon 810 isn't available until the end of 2014. A lot can happen between now and then.

I just wonder how far into 2015 it will be before we see this device.

4k display? Why would anybody want to waste money on that? Oh wait specs... right.

Actually, maybe not. Perhaps it won't have an actual screen that is 4k, but if the chip is capable of 4k, then that means via miracast/hdmi out you can stream movies to a 4k display in its native resolution rather than in 1080p. So it won't just be a gimmick if they implement it that way. But yes, having an actual 4k display on such a small device would simply drive up its cost for no reason...

I would buy one in a heartbeat but, he Manitoba needs to be released the end of this year folks, if they wait until 2015, it will be to little, too late.

By then you will have the iPhone 6, HTC M9 and the Galaxy S6 who will all but gobbled up what little market share that's left.

Did you even read my article....?? the processor the 810 won't be available until the first half of 2015.....the iPhone 6 who cares.....htc m9 and galaxy s6 is still android no matter what specs they our behind it. this phone isn't going to be just a phone it will be a true desktop replacement with 64bit and 4gb of ram. With this phone not only will blackberry be on top of the specs race (which I think is silly) the phone will truly bring something different to the table and with the proper marketing and by that time blackberry will be in the stage of profitability it won't be too late.....click on the link I provided to qualcomm website about the processor and the release date......
