They can use a low cost QWERTY for sure with good specs. Unfortunately the specs need to be better than the Classic and A lot better than the Q5 for sure.
But BlackBerry does a fantasticly Terrible job "Spec'ing" it's devices.

    Sexy White Z30....
I'd say the classic is already the "low cost" qwerty. They could use with a smaller decently spec'd qwerty with a lower high range price. I love my Q10 but if I'm going to replace it with like device I want it to at least feel like it's an upgrade rather than the same phone dressed up with a belt.

The q5 works as a low cost qwerty. I have one and like it more than my q10. I agree that the classic is the low spec, low end qwerty now. It'll get even cheaper when the high end classic comes out.

ive had the q10 for 2 years and its my favourite form factor. but just doesnt make sense to 'upgrade' to classic for 2012 specs and a tool belt. Wish they released a classic 2 with better specs/camera or something then it would be worthwhile.

Have the same feeling with my Q5. I don't feel the Classic is a big enough upgrade. So also waiting for a either "rounded corner Passport" OR another budget range qwerty device

Love the form factor os the Q10 & Q5. It's like a little power house

Thats the one i don't live in America, so waiting for that version to go global or waiting for another budget qwerty device. The Blackberry "Oslo" looks pretty good and hoping its budget range. i don't mind the top having hard corners but the bottom has to be rounded.

... I mean what's the purpose of a top row keyboard standing alone?

One word - shortcuts. The main reason I want another q10 is shortcuts.

Not sure what the end of the year PKB device will be but I'm thinking it will not be a "Passport II"...
I may retract my prediction based on Chen saying the "slider" device will be released end of year. It would seem the slider is the end of the year PKB device.

Perhaps BlackBerry is or was fishing for device form factors to see what sticks and now will stick with the models they like.

Passport, classic and budget touch (leap) may be the new BlackBerry line up and this Oslo passport may be the next iteration of the passport. The slider is the promised focus on something innovated every year... maybe next year it will be a high end all touch.

    So I'm thinking...
    1. Leap
    2. Porsche Passport
    3. Oslo Passport
    4. Slider
