My roomate that works in the production facility in Waterloo says they are building an R series phone now as well as N series and the z10. I showed her a picture of the white phone that was in the pic with the Z and Q with the curve style buttons and she said that wasn't it...so then I showed her a pic of Dev alpha C and she said it look like that without the dev alpha c written on the bottom

There was a thread "Where was your Z10 Made". Every single answer I read said Mexico.

Why would they not put the branding on it and she said it's the R series not the N series

Waterloo facility is NPI (new product introduction) so new devices are developed here and in smaller quantities made for sale but bulk of production happens in various locations around the world that supply local markets: Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Taiwan, Malaysia, Hungary, there might be more. Clearly most of these are contractor manufacturers.

Sopeone who works for bbry told me they are working on a mid range device.
399$ it's meant to come out on september.
This because september is always a bad month for bbry (the worker told me).
    They want to change that....
It would just have les pixels , lower camera and ofcourse a cheaper build...

Prototype devices are made there and some get released, but many never see the light of day.

Having played with a prototype device directly from the former COO, I can tell you some of them are quite slick, and targeted to different markets.

I would be interested in seeing any "leaked" or supposed pics of possible upcoming devices. I saw one of an Alpha device I think and it was not good looking. Add to this that their last product roadmap is outdated. Does anybody have anything on the supposed devices?
