Lucas, over at N4BB, has teased that BlackBerry is working on an all touch phone. He's calling it the "Jesus" phone based on the codename. If you listen to the most recent podcast from them they briefly discuss it but don't give much more info.

Would not get too excited... could simply be "Manitoba' which is basically a LTE version of the Z3... if Chen follows his current course... you may see an all touch flagship phone in the 2 to 3 years as BB focuses on Enterprise needs and emerging market... currently with the Enterprise focus any consumer purchases are gravy to BB......

Not that I'm complaining as this is a phone many crackberry members have been asking for for years, but doesn't this contradict many things Chen has recently said?

I have to assume that 50%+ of enterprise users want full touch simply for reasons of familiarity.

Cant come soon enough, Z10's are going to be really limping by the time this one (if it in fact does) see the light of day. I hope Blackberry doesnt loose their entire "touchscreen" preferred consumer base by the time it happens.

I'm not holding my breath. Unless this is just the LTE Z3 then I doubt it will actually see the light of day. Chen is clearly moving away from touch devices. He announced the next generation Passport the day after the current Passport launched, which was before even the first generation Classic. Meanwhile, there has been no hint in an upcoming flagship touch.

I highly doubt there will be any new high touch devices coming in the foreseeable future.

I have been talking to iPhonians and Androidnians and no way these kind of stubborns are going to go for a keyboard device.
They were surprised when saw my Z30 and they were speechless but still they want a bigger device kind of Samsung, they said keyboard in a phone has no room for the majority of them.
Therefore BlackBerry should make the same kind of model like the Passport without the keyboard and I believe will be a winner, too.

IDK, im not sold on the form factor on the passport. But losing the keyboard would definitely be a step in the right direction. Or at least a step into the right decade

Yeah I'm definitely not buying a keyboard device. I'm not feeling the BlackBerry passport size as an all touch device either.

Absolutely Not. Read between the lines, what people want is variety and choice.

    - Passport = Geared to attract new Android & iOS users onto the BB10 platform. It's also geared toward current BB10 users and existing BBOS users. It was meant to differentiate itself from the competition and help it stand out. Nothing can compare at this point. Ever actually due to protected patents. (Enterprise + Consumers)

    - Classic = Geared almost exclusively to current BOLD users and those users that left BOLD to go to Android or iOS. The Classic is basically for the somewhat Die Hard keyboard & belt lovers. Yes there's about 50 Million of them right now. (Enterprise + Consumers)

    - Full Touch = Geared toward people that rather have FULL TOUCH 16x9 devices. Yes the Majority want these. Regardless, you have to have at least 2 options for a Full Touch smart phone in your line of devices. You have to offer people CHOICE. Now that John Chen took care of the inventory issues, they can finally come out with a nice variety of smart phones without over-producing.

Why did John Chen come out with the Passport instead of a Full Touch Smart Phone? Because a Full touch is what everybody has, nothing new about it and nothing unique about them. The Passport basically helped put BBRY back on the map, and got people talking about it. Even those bashers that hate the device, they talked about it anyway. There's nothing like it in the world. And it's by FACT the most unique, innovative smart phone ever to come out. Now that people know BBRY is still in the game, BBRY can refresh its full touch lines with better specs, such as the Z10 and Z30. And have consumers be more aware of BBRY phones again.
