So although, it has been said that the VZW version will have wifi, according to your screenshots, the version with CDMA doesn't have wifi, although the GSM version does? Interesting, and not a good sign.
i would not worry about these pics too much, for all we know these are just prototypes that have limited functions and features.

I'm sure the 9990 will have WiFi.

If it will have wifi, why does it not show it in the screen shot hear, yet, the screenshot of the GSM version(9900), does show wifi? And I thought the 9900 was the model number for the Pluto or Magnum?

They may have decided not to put WiFi in there. Could be an early version of the software. It will have WiFi

That's true, maybe it's just not in an early version of the software. I guess we'll see. Curious though, how can you be so sure that it will have Wifi?

The 9990 is the new internal number for the BlackBerry Storm 2. Which will have WiFi.

LOL, I mean, how can YOU be so sure? Do you work for RIM, or are you some sort of insider? I read the same thing through the rumors on these sites myself, but I am not an insider.

As we can clearly see, this is easily (well took me a while still lol) made. The main thing is, it did not show the copyright, nor the blackberry icon at the top. If it did, there may have been legalities.

On the original 9990 image...the EXIF data matches the camera's model. Seems legit. Has been re-saved with Adobe Photoshop ELEMENTS which would indicate a crop but no real hardcore editing could be done in just Elements.

    I would say the ..90 is 4G.

Sounds like this probably won't be released until end of next year or 2011. Maybe 5.7 will be another OS being worked on by RIM for 4G.

I don't get why everyone is trying to make fake pics. Maybe re read the blog post again. I will say about the 9900 screenshot, that its not common practice for two devices of the same model series to have completely different platform versions.

What you don't understand is all he did was took a screenshot of his about screen, sent it to his computer, modified it to whatever he wanted, sent it back to his phone, opened up photo viewer, opened the picture, then took a picture of the phone with his camera...not that hard to do...
