Count me in, too. I'd rather have that than the A10/Z15.

    It is possible.
They said 6 devises this year:
    1. Z10
    2. Q10
    3. Q5
    4. THAT BBOS ONE
    5. A10 (OR WHATEVER THEY WILL CALL IT)
    6. slider

It could be #6 this year.
Personally, I think 6 is a bit much. Should be 2-3 max IMO.
Nahh 6 is too few! I want options! I want to be able to pick and choose which one is best for me. But I don't want as many as what Samsung try to sell.

Re Slider phones they are nice and easy to handle. Just slide to receive a call. My second phone way back in 1996 was a Sony slider unit which was not only hardy but also small. Now slider phones have gone out of fashion and i haven't seen anyone in my community be it business or personal using one. But I think the Z10 is a good candidate for a slider with a QWERTY board below. But is it really necessary? That is something to debate. I have both the BB10 phone with me. They are special in their own ways.

When the hardware keyboard is used/pulled out, all hardware shortcut keys become available. The phone becomes equivalent to Bold 9900 as long as the physical keyboard is pulled out, but the screen real estate is not compromised, unlike full touch screen where the software keyboard takes up screen real estate, or in the case of Bold 9900, the screen real estate is permanently compromised by its keyboard. When there is no need for heavy typing, stow away the keyboard, I use the phone as if it were a full touch screen, I use the software keyboard when I get "too lazy" to pull out the physical one. Truly the best of both worlds with very little compromise. However as many have said, the drawbacks are generally thicker and heavier design, and since the sliding mechanism is a huge mechanical part, that part will be prone to failure.

Don't want to get your hopes up or even my hopes. Confirmed that the slider is fan art. CONCEPT.
BUT if BlackBerry would release a slider phone, I will be the first to get in line and get one!

Since there is no phone being released in the near future with both a large touchscreen and a keyboard, I wouldn't expect anything before the 2nd half of 2014...

    I would buy a slider.
Im old and sodding about with script size is a pain in the ***.
Ive had a Z now ive got. Q10. The screen on the z was good but i like the buttons that dont change size. BlackBerry were remiss when the z qwerty slides off the screen. All good apart from that

What the heck did you do with that post Lorax - try to post a bunch of base64 encoded binary as text? LAWLZ
What I did was copied an image from my image editor and pasted it directly into the post edit window... it looked fine. When I saved the message it posted the BINHEX. So I edited the post to remove the binhex and used the "image upload" to send the image file... and now the attachment is gone... it's on my computer at home and I will edit the post later and try to put the image in there properly.

not this cat. the 9800 Keyboard has never felt natural to me. I will be moving to the Z10 as soon as my upgrade cycle is up.

Yeah, I'm guilty of being a former Torch owner ( the 9800, the version WITHOUT openGL), and I loved the design. Just needed to be bigger with better specs and OS 10.

I was kind of forced to abandon my 9810 torch which I though and still think it is the best thing I've ever used... omg I loved it!!!! But now I'm using Q10 and not that I don't like it I would prefer to have a bigger screen and the ability to choose between either physically typing or virtually. I would be one of the first massive fans to buy a BB10 slider! Please please please make one!!!

I've never owned a slider but have always defaulted to physical keyboard devices (Palm Treo, various Blackberrys, right up to my current Q10). But now that I've had my hands on BB10 long enough, while I love and need the QWERTY keyboard, I find the capabilities of the Q10 somewhat pinched by the relatively small screen. So I think a slider- properly executed-would be the best of both worlds, for me at least.

But- I think that a BlackBerry slider needs to nail both form and function, or nevermind. Closer to the 'Blade' concept to set it apart from everything else while looking cool- not merely functional.

I think there are plenty of guys who want something that doesn't look and work like the phone that their 16 year-old daughter and her friends are carrying around. And it doesn't mean they want someone else's version of an iPhone, either.

I would gladly pay for both the convenience and functionality of something that combines the best of the Z10 and Q10 in a slick, high-end package that works well and looks like it means business. More Breitling than Swatch.

Seems possible given the dimensions of the z30... I'm hoping the size of the keys would at least be the same as the keys of the q10, if not bigger!

What about Thorsten saying not more then 6 devices...or was it seven? Is the sixth one the slider instead of a Z5 or whatever?
Z10, Q10, Q5, Z30, and Z15 (slider). There hasn't been a sixth yet. The sixth would either be a Z5 or the rumored dumb terminal screen. I don't think there will be a Z5 but if it turns out to be the sixth device then the whole BB10 portfolio is finished.
