I think this kind of device would be sooo important like the z3 for markets like South-Africa, India, Asia, South-America, Russia and so on...

If Blackberry could bring a device such as the Q5 for lets say 160 $ I think people in this low budget markets would buy it...

So please Blackberry give such devices to those markets with the help of Foxconn...

the z3 ist onlay the beginning I hope...

And for the other countries we all are looking to the upcoming Passport + Classic... and maybe to a device such as the z30 for next year

As the stories I've read indicate, their biggest concentration for the future is for physical keyboard devices, I'd suspect that you may get your wish at some point.

I'm almost certain this will happen. Assuming the Passport and Classic are a success, another low-budget 'Classic' would be likely IMHO.

I agree. I think there should be a phone for keyboard fans on a budget, just as touchscreen fans on a budget have the Z3.

Apparently the Curve was really popular so I hope there would be a successor to it that could do better than the Q5.

Well, if you take into consideration that the Z3 is the only bb10 device that's been actually selling, then yes. They definitely should release another consumer friendly affordable handheld.

Smartphones are getting cheaper in North America and there are fewer lengthy contracts being signed. Hopefully the folks at Blackberry are smart enough to be a part of this, this time around.

I am sure, when the passport and classic come out (both), the price of Q5 will drop!

The BlackBerry Classic is set to be priced around 349usd if the twitter source is correct. I have trouble believing that, but maybe.

    ... You know that how?

I think it's best others don't attempt to "correct" another, given that neither of you actually know the final price.

Nothing is "not correct" at this moment - it's all conjecture until BlackBerry says otherwise.

I'd rather see them move the existing Q5 at the lowest prices as the margins will possibly allow. It was priced wrong from the start; it shouldn't have been a slightly cheaper Q10, but a drastically cheaper, put these things in as may hands as possible BB10 to succeed the Curve.

The problem with the pricing of the Q5 was that it isn't really a budget phone. If it were $150 at launch it would make the Q10 massively overpriced, which it arguably is. Don't get me wrong the Berrys are premium and they should not be giving them away by any means. The LTE Z3 is really gonna be a deal of a device if it appears under $200.
