Just make it with at least 32 GB of internal storage, some more memory 3-4 GB, 8 GB is too much I guess, that's what I have in my PC and runs fine, bigger CPU would be fine a quad-core in the range or 2-2.3 GHz, and waterproof would be nice too, keep the speakers of the Z30, if they improve the screen good but I'm fine with the Z30 screen as it is. Target price <= 650 dls factory unlocked, so balance the specs to get that price.

Might be overkill for QNX but there are customers who buy based on specs alone, so who knows.
    Exactly

The way the current tech market is saturated with releases, I am surprised no one is outraged yet that they cannot upgrade every other week.

    BlackBerry 10 signed.
Now that you mention it, i am a little annoyed that I can't update my Z30 yet.

Uncompetitive ? That's just bull**** when you know Moto X had similar internals which also arrived roughly the same time.

Moto x was also like 200-300 cheaper

I wasn't expecting a high end touch this year so it makes sense to skip and release a 64 bit device.

Ya 8GB kinda ridiculous. But if they are planning on making a multitasking, split screen running, dual booting, future proof, 64 bit beast of a phone then 8GB is perfect. Bring it

Yeah I was about to say .. all these guys are having serious pre-orgasmic ejaculate reading this. Common guys ... as much as we love BlackBerry ... it's a roadmap which they hare a SERIOUS difficult time following let alone keeping. I saw that first before the 8GB of RAM ... that's just pure ridiculous.

Sounds like a $900 smartphone that no carrier will touch.
Ya, that's why carriers won't sell blackberry phones.

Absolutely is ridiculous. But I'm not surprised if they actually are testing for a 64 bit device. No way it gets released this year.

Is it Windermere or Windemere? How can they have a typo in the image?

Over at BerryFlow, they posted the following specs:

    Quad-Core
    8GB RAM
(it follows that the CPU a 64-bit ARM chip has to be)
    5 inch Full Touch
    3300MA Battery
OS10.3.1 *likely to receive latter OS update*
    OpenGL 3?

Along with the following road map:

    Attachment 277700

I don't know about the 8 gigs as that seems a bit of overkill.

Where as Android requires less than 1 GB RAM. If BB10 is memory hungry then BlackBerry will have a problem. They should find a way to optimise it. With 8GB it should also run Windows 8.1. 8GB is surely an overkill at this point of time.

8gigs is obviously so it can run BB10 and a full Android OS simultaneously...

Hope it has a 5000mah battery.

Maybe that's the plan. To run windows and Linux too! That would be a dream device.

I know kitkat was supposed to provide that fluid experience on 1 GB or less but I haven't seen it. I've owned a ton of android devices and I have yet to find one that I would declare as smooth running at the 1 GB or less mark.

Yup pretty much same specs minus the octo-core 64 bit processor.

I really wish BlackBerry kept the all touch quad-core device that was planned for release this year. People are not going to wait until Q3 2015 to replace their Z10 or Z30 device.

It's too bad because the only thing I find lacking on my Z30 is the camera. If it had a better camera and everything else was the same I'd be set for a while. Of course fickle consumers don't see it like that at all and soon BlackBerry won't have any competitive all touch devices.

I love the Z30 ! My only suggestion; maybe the Z50 could be a bit lighter, with all-metal body. Perfecting voice recognition might be good too. Other than that, the Z30 is pretty amazing!
