    Just saw this: BlackBerry launches new smartphone BB 9720 - Emirates 24/7

    Is the 5 MP camera an autofocus one or the same crappy fixed focus camera as the 9900?

    Looks like fixed focus

    Edit: (forward to 4:41, you don't see the focus square on the 9720)

    noooooooooo that would make me not want to buy it as I take a lot of close up images and some text!!!

    why!! why must they always put 1 major disappointment in every device????

    Q10 = no menu keys / call / end call buttons = BIG FAIL
    9720 = fixed focus = big fail

    Ill stick to my 9700 which I downgraded from a 9900 as to me its camera and battery are much better

    Not necessarily...the gestures more than suffice... It does take some getting accustomed to coming from legacy BBRYs esp if you're on a Q10. The Z10 not at all as it's a full touch device but on the Q10 (coming from the 9000>9900) you're fingers instinctively want to look for the keys but.. after a few hours you forget all about that (for me atleast) Can't go back to legacy devices...

    say what you want, you can not even come close to the speed, precision and accuracy of a trackpad when selecting text

    Then you are nowhere near a BlackBerry power user. And it makes no sense as to why you would prefer a BlackBerry over rival devices
