There is no "Z50". Only three more qwerty handsets on the horizon. That's it.
There has been so much confusion lately on future devices, it is hard to keep up. You are very much correct about the 3 upcoming keyboarded handsets as mentioned by Chen.

Correct me if I am wrong, but was it not the planned "Ontario" phone that got cancelled? I think that was a 5"+ device, right? If memory serves me correctly, was there not one other phone being tested as well which was rumoured to be a full touch device? No idea when/if that device will drop this year, but I do know there have been rumours this would appear in Q3/4.

Erm I don't know about names of the top of my head but there is a rumored high end full touch device to launch early next year the one that's rumoured to have Octacore etc

    TechCraze C0008DDD1

    EDIT;

"We'll concentrate on high-end phones for the enterprise customer," Chen said. "the majority of our phones will be keyboarded, but there will still be touch screens."

In February 2015 the Z10 will be two years old. They have to have an upgrade path for the millions of people who are using the Z10. BlackBerry is not going to potentially lose those people by not having a new phone for them to upgrade to. Even tho Chen said the focus is keyboards and corporate, they will release another touchscreen phone and its more likely to be in the 5.0-5.5" range then in the 4.2-4.7" range.

This is all my opinion of course. I think there will be this mystical magical awesome Z50 sometime between Dec 2014-march 2015.

I hope to see a Z50 . I have the Z30, which is awesome, and I'd love to see the next version of the all-touch device. I'd buy it!

You're absolutely right. There is no content for 4K TVs right now, and people don't need them. However, I think you're missing his point.

Despite there not being any content people are buying. They see the spec sheet and want one. He's suggesting that this would be something that would draw attention to BlackBerry's new device as being an industry leader in specs.

Posted using my Z10 via CB10
Believe it or not, most customers only pay attention to specs when there is a demonstrated benefit.

I get that members here are more tecnically-oriented (and likely more specs-oriented as a result), but most of the buying public is more interested in features than specs.

Look. I would buy all these devices.. but let's be realistic ...
*ok you are probably right about intel!
*I would say in 2015+ 2k is a must have for all companies. But 4k? Just nonsense.. it's battery draining... or am I wrong?
    *And 4GB ram? For what ? I would appreciate 2GB with DDR4 instead of DDR2 like now if I'm correct.. (Z10 G2)
    And 3GB for bigger devices..

    Since 2010 ?
But now 2gb ram are not enough, I always have only 500mb free ram ):

Patience boys. They gotta release the Z3 this month and then the "classic" with the belt"barf" in a few months. I'd expect the Z50 to be available in the dec-mar time frame. That'll put the the Z10 2 years old and the Z30 a tick over a year old so there'll be a lot of users looking to upgrade.

There is no possible way they will release a high end touch before October at the earliest because the Z30 will one year old in October.

So let's just keep our cool, be a little realistic, and enjoy our current devices.

    Have great night everyone.

What exactly do you mean? You like it but the need to rectify it... CB10 was rushed out when BB10 launched and they haven't touched it since. It's quite amazing they can knock blackberry for the slow development yet make us use this ****. Even the Reddit in Motion app works better which doesn't say much. My team was building better mobile pages 12 years ago
