Hi, are there Z10 users here using "Always ON" prepaid SIM package from Tri Indonesia?

I saw their advertisement somewhere in central Jakarta, they are offering: full 12 months of BBM (on BB10 only) usage, 50 MB free internet quota per month for 12 months (I suppose I can use this for light e-mail usage), free unlimited internet access for 10 most visited local sites; you can get those benefits for only IDR 50,000 (it is around US$5) for first time top-up only.

Well, if you're a heavy BBM users, a light e-mail users and only needs to surf to those 10 most visited local sites, for IDR 50,000/year, that is a the best offer you can get.

Please share your experience when using such prepaid SIM package.

    I'm using Halo Telkomsel. $9/month

Used Tri 1.5 years ago and I couldn't get any signal in my city, so I threw it away.

Hi Wildbanger, what kind of Telkomsel package are you using?

I'm using Telkomsel (Flash) also in my Z10, and paying $12.5/mo for their light unlimited package. That gives me 3GB full speed quota & 64 kbps speed when my usage exceeds such 3GB. Telkomsel claims they can give me up to 14.4 Mbps in full speed quota although all I can get is 1-3 Mbps during daily usage.

The problems is whenever I'm in H+ coverage areas, the speed is slower than in 3G coverage areas. It seems weird, but it is true! Been calling Telkomsel Call Center for submitting complaints but that is useless! They keep saying they will check, but no progress at all.

Haha, the main problem i think not because i am a heavy user (iam though) but more like xl signal is failing. So it just keep on squeezing the juice looking for signal

That will drain your battery for sure, have you tried turning off 4G and stick with 3G or even 2G when you know you're in low 4G signal area? Would that help?

2g will diminish the use of this phone. I just put my phone in a constant 3 G. That is why i have 3 batteries and 11000 mah power bank. I expect better battery for z10, but ill survive.

Where I am here, other than underground parking, I always get full signal for LTE but I do switch to 4G/3G only to get more battery life when needed.

It's recommended to do a sec.wipe every time we load a new OS.

Agree that helps a lot but in his case, he mentioned he always in a bad reception area,
his phone would work extra hard finding signals and that drains the battery good.

Sorry for late reply. I use the standard Halo BlackBerry package. I was thinking to use flash, but one of my IT friend said that flash isn't too good compared to Halo, especially if you are using Halo priority members. If you are one of the member, you can call and complain to Halo about the H+

But by using Halo, you will have 65rb fix bill even if you don't use the phone, so I pay 90+65 each month, not including the call and text messages fees.

About the speed, that is actually quite a problem because most of the BTS towers aren't as good as the main tower. Cheap to build though. Lol
