Hell Crackberries,

I know this isn't a Blackberry issue but this is my preferred community and I trust you guys. My Mum just got a cheap Toshiba laptop for xmas and it won't come out of sleep mode so I wondered if any of you egg-heads had a solution. I've only ever owned macs so I'm a bit limited here.

It's running windows 8. I've re-set it in the bios. I rolled the graphics driver back and then re-installed the current one. Power settings are for the power button to make it sleep and wake again.

When you try to wake it up it blinks on then goes black. You can hear the drive spinning though.

Thanks. I should have mentioned that the only solution so far is to hold the power button till it switches off then re-boot. I'm looking to cure the problem altogether.

Well, just to wrap the thread up a bit, we took the laptop back to the shop. The demo version they had on the shelf was doing the same thing so we swapped it for a Hewlett Packard instead.
