I've been a xbox fan since the first xbox, after seeing some of the specs. I'm prolly leaning towards ps4. It jus seems to me if your buying a "game console" it would ps4. To me it looks like the xbox one is not for the causal gamer.

The specs are actually very similar. Same RAM. Same number of processors. I think the only main difference is the type of processors.

I'm still deciding. I'll probably go with Sony though since I grew up on PS. But I like the controller for xbox more.

Yup. John Carmack, who a lot of industry folks respect, has said that both consoles are fundamentally the same hardware wise.

I personally haven't made my decision yet. I have a 360 right now, but since there's no backwards compatibility with either console, there's really nothing tying me to xBox. I think I'm probably going to wait 6 months or so after release and see which console is getting more titles, and how the cloud services work with each. I'm in no rush since the current generation consoles are still plenty good enough for me.

It all comes down to what games you want to play. You'll get the same functionality as hardware is almost identical. Being a Play station owner since psone, I am getting a ps4. Don't even want to try xbox cause I've always had ps. Guess I'm a loyalist. That's how most people are.

I have an xbox since the game Halo came out. I am looking forward to the ps4 now. I don't like the fact that the Microsoft is publicly admitting that they are not interested in the future of xbox. They didn't even reacted to the price tag of the ps that is 100 $ less, they should be at least answer with a 50$ Rebate to close the gape a little. Too bad....

Gaikai is a cloud-based emulation system, so it's not limited to PS3: other systems can potentially be emulated too, long as they have the license

Interesting, I'll have to look it up. Not sure how well a cloud based solution will work with all my physical discs, but I'll have to see what they offer.

I don't know precisely how Gaikai works. All I know is it uses cloud to process the emulator, so you don't actually emulate the game on your hardware, you simply stream a video of the game, so I assume it works like an MMO, only more emphasis on your Internet bandwidth
