I'll be going PS4, and only reason I'm keeping my 360 is for NHL14. Totally pissed at EA for not bringing that title to next gen.

I was all about the Xbox One until M$ pulled the always online, used game crap, than turns around and goes back on it.

So heads up, you'll buy a X1 and 6 months get a new software update that brings back the always online and used game law. And why? Because M$ built the system around that cloud based approach. They can survive without it now, to far into production.

The real winners are AMD here. And "next gen" is a misnomer and both consoles are about as powerful as last year's high-end PC gaming rigs.
Still, with what is effectively PC hardware in both the PS4 and Xbox One, Devs will have an easier time of porting games across.

The reason I'm going with the PS4 is: Indie Games - Sony don't require PS4 titles to have a publisher while Microsoft do.

Got a XBOX 360 when I switched to TELUS a year ago, hooked it up once and didn't like the flow or the controller.

Personal preference nothing more.

The same analyst is probably the one that laments the loss of "family sharing", a very misleading title that basically is "saved demo" :lol:

SONY did far too many good moves at E3 and beyond. Better price? Check. Better PR? Check. More games at launch? Check. The only saving grace of XBOX One is the "free dev kit" feature. It'll probably make indie devs flock to XBOX one, but it hardly impacts the major ones. Not to say it's not good, it is, and in the long run, if quality indie games fill the library XBOX MAY prevail.

But we'll see SONY's move, and the sales. IIRC PS4 will have backwards compatibility with PS3?

Psh. You forgot the Kinect. Yes it matters. So most hard core gamers already have their preferred console, be it Xbox or Ps. Now to those who are undecided, such as parents buying it for the family or their 7 year old kid, the Kinect will be what they'll most likely go for. Kinect makes the Xbox appeal to the family setting.

The Kinect is still appealing. You will be able to turn it on with a simple voice command. How amazing is that? The Kinect is heavily integrated into the Xbox experience. It will make it more than just a console.
