all summer long i keep hearing this commercials by a bank

while listening to a radio station

this bank were trying to advertise the savings account for children

they emphasize it pays big 2% for a minimum of $5000 to open an account.....

like they are selling a delicious donut oozing with chocolate cream or something

[bambinoitaliano]

lets do the simple math here

2% of $5000 is a $100 dollars

[bambinoitaliano]

thats for a year

[bambinoitaliano]

say your child savings start at age zero

[bambinoitaliano]

by his 18th birthday ...he would have $1800 of interest made

18 years from now, what can you buy for $1800?

maybe a backpack for his college?

a phone not the high end one

they want to loan $5000 from you

and pay you a service fee of $100 per year...

I think i can charge a better rate from my own mother or brother for that

and they still be grateful and love me for it

and the bank has the audacity to even advertise

that was really insulting

just short of me calling its headquarters to pull the ad
