I joined CB when I got my PlayBook to get tips and tricks, but didn't spend a lot of time here. Since getting my Classic I have been here a bit learning as much about my device as I can. Just like maximising what I have. However I can't help but notice how many people I see replying to threads that no longer have BlackBerry devices and usually not positively.
Why do they continue to hang around especially if their aim is not to help which is the essence of this site?
I would assume that their time would be better spent on sites that specialises in whatever device they now currently use or is it that they really have a lot of time on their hands?
    Genuinely curious.

Many of us still use BlackBerry devices as well as other devices. Also, being critical of BlackBerry isn't the same as disliking BlackBerry.

Perhaps, in my own opinion, people that often bash on something negatively in public with emphasis of their dislike, may rather generally enjoy it while in private. They're afraid to admit something that isn't the norm is a rooted pleasure within?

True. Not a 'fanboy' myself, so I can appreciate seeing genuine critiques, but I do see some comments that can only fit the description of bashing for the sake of bashing, I guess. Then you pick up that they no longer use BlackBerry devices.

But this would be a safe place to share the pleasure of owning one or it should be a safe place to do so.

Owning a BlackBerry device isn't a prerequisite for forum membership. People have their own reasons to be here (technical help, general interest etc ), and as long as the forum rules are being followed, they are welcome.
