Why is Blackberry more expensive than the HTC? You don't get a free "crackHTC" forum of the same caliber as CB do you?

Blackberry is always more expensive than cellphones with similar or better specs. I could easily get an HTC with better specs, faster browser and far more apps available at a lower price then let's say a 9700.

I just don't get why they are sold at a premium compared to other brands.

I see plenty 8300s bolds 9000, even see 88004 and 8700s and this means they are well built. A new HTC might look shiny but how does it look after 3 years?

I gotta chime in and say go out and look at all these other phone be it Android or IOS and you find any BB as competive priced if not lower depending on carrier as others have mentioned.

I think in 2011 even with new ones coming out they will be priced right.

Still see a lot of 8800's and 8700's. Goes to prove that all that glitters is not gold.
And the thing everyone misses out on is that the 8800 is just as functional as any latest model. Only addition would be a webkit browser, better multimedia. But it still delivers where it matters

listen bro: there's a reason why you don't see 3 year old androids, becaue technology is changing fast, and people who love Android phones love hi-tech. Same with Apple-nerds.

Blackberry users are mostly old farts or people like me who have a lot of friends and need a convenient text messaging device. I don't care aboute technology. As long as I can watch porn on my phone and send messages I am happy.

I bought both of my current Blackberries used on Ebay. I could never afford a new item that is as horribly overpriced as the Blackberry

The bb should be cheaper because it's specs (not what it can do) don't come close to other phones specs for the same price and I hate to say it but do agree.
