Let's not forget the president was a constitutional law professor, but some believe he knows nothing about the constitution. I guess Harvard gave him a free pass...
So far he has used whatever knowledge of the constitution to skirt around it. Hardly a constitutionist.

Scare tactics, misinformation, and repeated (and debunked) right wing talking points. Rather than just repeat what you've heard, please explain how progressives hate the Constitution and are trying to do away with it. Last time I checked, republicans were the ones trying to limit access to voting, trying to take a woman's right to privacy away, trying to transform America into a theocracy, trying to legalize discrimination against the LGBTQ community by claiming religious freedom or saying "the states should decide," trying to eliminate democracy in states like Michigan, etc, etc, etc.

Can you still say what you like outside of inciting others to riot? Can you still worship and assemble where and when you want? Can you still own a gun? Can you vote? If (when) you get arrested, will you be given a trial by a jury of your peers? If you answered "yes" to all these questions, then congratulations, you still have your rights. Don't like the country we have here? Then pack up and move to North Korea or something. So many on the right are convinced that Obama has already turned us into North Korea, anyway, so I'm sure you won't really notice a difference.

Just leftwing talking points and scare tactics. " nobody wants your gun", here step into this taped off area and say what you want, let's give everyone "free" health-care, if you like your Dr you can keep your dr. What difference does it now make? Let's just add to the ndaa so that we can haul you off when we want, as long as we want for whatever we want. Let's call anyone who gets social security and needs a ride home the bank mental. etc etc. If you want to put it on a party then fine, the Democrats in this country are dyed in the wool socialists at the very least with a whole Lotta fascist thrown in. The establishment Republicans are no better. Lol you brought up the justice system and how great it is. With attorney generals like the last 2 and activist judges it's a farce. Personal politics should never matter on an opinion by any judge, from the Supreme Court on down. Political correctness and race baiting are at an all time high. We the people are getting played and way too many can't see it. Don't tell me to pack up and move somewhere else because I and many others can see that the Constitution is pretty much viewed as toilet paper by many in government. Because I'm concerned and scared of what is happening and going to happen if people don't wake up and say enough. I liked Ron Paul, as well as rand for the simple fact, that if they said " this is what I would do, and here's the quote from the Constitution that backs up what I'm saying ". There's a pesky little thing called the 10th Amendment that says the states SHOULD decide many many things that the federal government has taken. It's obvious that you and I disagree, to answer your questions, the answer is yes, for now. You have gone and drank the kool-aid bub. I can't name more than one nationally known Democrat I can respect, and that one I disagree with on almost everything. There are very very few of the Republicans I respect. They are 2 wings on the same bird, identical in almost every way. If you don't like the idea of strict constitutional government why don't YOU move somewhere that already has the mess of social and political ideas you seem to like. France comes to mind. Bonjour friend. Enjoy.

I have to ask you why Constitutional government scares you? I wanted Rand Paul, but that isn't an option now. Cruz is next in line. Actually Carson is, but he's going to be out soon too.

Posted with my still awesome z30.
Cruz puts his religion above the Constitution. (so be says). That is scary. Either way he's scary. Ben Carson being a brain surgeon is scary too. Not sure which is scarier. The thought of Cruz being president or being operated on my Carson.

Republicans hate the Constitution. Absolutely hate it. Except for the 2nd amendment (if you're white).

How you could have liked Rand Paul (arguably the best of the whole lot) but would consider Cruz pretty much blows my mind.

This is why I want Trump to win the Republican nomination: He isn't a true believer. He says what certain people want to hear but he isn't scary like Cruz who actually believes Jesus is in his back pocket.

I'm from Canada and I would personally vote for Trump if I could. I believe you need a business mind at the helm of a country. Take who we have as our prime minister, Justin Trudeau AKA Junior. Junior is an ex drama teacher and he is now running a country, things are not looking good up north for the next 4 years. Unfortunately we have to many liberals and unions in Canada running the show. The province I live in is going to be 300 billion dollars in debt this year and liberals have ran the show for 10 years now. Vote for Trump America you have Canadians support )))

If he skirted around it, then what he did must be constitutional which does make him a constitutionist...

I guess a constitutionist is one who agrees with you on how to interpret the constitution, just like a citizen is someone who agrees with your views. As I stated before, there were many people at the table drafting the constitution which is really a compromise and not a "this is what we all think" document...

Goldman Sachs is not a donor for Cruz. They are going for Rubio and Hillary. He took out a loan from Goldman Sachs which he had to pay back back in 2012 to self fund his senate race. Cruz got help from the Mercer family who is his main contributer. Cruz has more grass roots money than any of the candidates now not named Bernie Sanders.
I believe him because he is the ONLY candidate that has battled the Federal Reserve chair (Rand Paul was another), called out the Senate majority of his own party for being a liar, personally called out the attorney general for ignoring constitutional laws that have been ignored (immigration), he has proposed zero subsidies to all businesses including oil to level the playing field, battled amnesty etc... if nothing else, he has shown that he has the moxy and the temperament to do what he says he will do.
Unlike Hillary, he will take hard hitting questions from the public, listen to them and then give his position on why his position is what it is. He enjoys emposing views and respects it. I know of no candidate that is so respectful to the 1st ammendment. There are just too many lies being made about him that people are believing it. The establishment despises him. I trust that he is not going to follow the establishment as president.

He could not be further from a constitutionalist. He has handpicked what laws he wants to enforce. I have never seen this before. He has done so for immigration, and enforcement of drug laws.
