My very first carrier was SNET (Southern New England Telephone), later bought be SBC and now part of AT&T. This was before they were even known as SNET Mobility. My phone was a Motorola, I can't remember the model, but it was one of their first "non-flip" style (we're talking early 90s here), and it wasn't a bag phone...I want to say it was a "slim-line" something...for its day, it was the bleeding edge. My 30 minutes per month cost me some stupid amount of money...like $40 or something. No voicemail.
AMPS baby AMPS! That was the sh*t back in the day!!!
cellular one upstate ny now verizon I was the only one of my friends with cell phone, I was rockin a motorola bag phone it was the **** kinda like a modern day man bag lol
Alltel, then my parents stupidly went to AT&T Wireless, which became Cingular, then became AT&T Mobility, then we went to Verizon and they sucks so we got smart and went back to Alltel, and then Verizon Wireless bought them.
I had Sprint and a StartTac for a few months...had to cancel because Burlington, Vermont (my college town) didn't have Sprint coverage and there were no roaming agreements back then.
my husband and I started off with ATT, then switched to Nextel, back to ATT and finally with Verizon for the last 9 years - and very happy with their services since
