bootcamp for the Marines doesnt allow you to bring or use your cell phone. nothing but the clothes on your back and ID. army/air force, etc other branches allow use of personal cell phones in basic training dependin on your job/training location

its basic training in army and air force
bootcamp in Marines and Navy

there is nothing basic about USMC

we are told NEVER to call bootcamp "basic", its like a curse word, and the Drill Instructors will eat our ***
