I know it's a bit of a cliche for some classical purists who think it is too popular now, but Beethoven's 5th symphony always gets me.

    Whoosh! Z10 in action!

Tiersen has a lot of beautiful music but you guys probably know this one (from Amelie) - I think this pianist does a good job with it:

I love Rachmaninoff ...I love his 2nd Piano Concerto in C minor. I am also a huge fan of Andre Segovia ...he is by far (in my opinion) the greatest Classical guitarist that ever lived.

It's called "Comptine d'un autre ete" and Yann Tiersen is the composer (if you're looking for the mp3 it's on the Amelie soundtrack, if you're looking for sheet music you'll find it under Tiersen also)

In no particular order my favorites are:

Little Fugue in Gm - J.S. Bach
Concerto for Recorder and Transverse Flute - Phillip Telemann
Symphonie Fantastique - Hector Berlioz (March to the Scaffold is the best part)

My undisputed favorite piece of music irrespective of genre is the second movement of Sheherazade - The Story of the Kalendar Prince (Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov)

There are so many that I like, it's hard to select a single favorite. Beethoven's Appassionata and Moonlight Piano Sonatas performed by Horowitz; Brahms' Piano Concerto No. 2 performed by Rubinstein; Brahms Symphony No. 3 conducted by Mehta; Lalo's Symphonie Espagnole performed by Szeryng; Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 conducted by Karajan. I generally like any of the greats released by Deutche Grammophon. Not a big Bach fan, however.
