I have noticed a lot of different things in these forums and the main thing I noticed was that people actually don't change every time a new Blackberry comes out.
I had my pearl of 9 months then I switch to my curve, which I plan on keep in for a while.

I have had 3 different Blackberry’s since January of this year. I have the Curve now, so I’m 110% satisfied and I don’t ever want to switch. The Curve has everything a smartphone user would ever want. When was the last time you had a phone the had the best camera, best email, best MP3, best look, best feel, etc…. you know what I mean. The Curve is by far the sexiest, lightest, easiest Blackberry/smartphone you will ever lay your eyes on. Blackberry doesn’t ever have to make another one. The really hit the jackpot with the Curve.
I have had every series of Blackberry. I won't go from a Curve to an 8320 but i will move on again on the next Series. But since being Blackberry i have never used any other brand.
I used my Pearl for exactly 7 months to the day. Switched to the 8320 as soon as it was available from T-Mo because I wanted a full keyboard. Couldn't be happier - it's such a great phone!

so far I'm I'm at the 30 day mark! I plan to keep it for a while. it would take something major for me to switch BUT only to a newer BB Curve!!
I love computer gadgets but I have never been more excited about any possession that I've obtained like my 'Strawberry', not my first car (it was brand new and cool in 1993 ) not slim digital camera, not my iPod, not my Wii (well I wont have it til Christmas) but still! You get my point!
I purchased the 8800 the same day it was released to Cingular and now I picked up the 8310 the same day it was released to AT&T. I guess I have a problem.
You folks make me ashamed of myself....I'm getting close to 3 years of using my 7250 and the rest of you discuss trading up to a newer model every few months.
I WANT a newer model but don't NEED one yet. And I think my choice is governed by the following:
A young fellow usually buys his WANTS on credit and then wonders if they will last until they are paid for.
An older man usually buys his NEEDS with cash and then wonders if they will outlast him.
Btw - I've had hobson(8800) since July, cherry (red pearl) since August. I know I'll keep them the 2 years of my contract. There's nothing currently on the market that I'd trade either one for, but something may come out in the future. I had me treo almost 5 years and loved it. Wish Intuit would get off their backsides and build Quicken for BBs! Then - would truly have everything on my berrys!!!

I usually get a different phone every month. And every other month I usually go back to a BB. I never learn. So far it's been cool cause I can get away with just using free trials of software
