I recently went to a local store called the Buckle.
Being a fan of True Religion jeans and Luckys from places like Nordstorm Rack and Off 5th Saks where you can find TRs for right around $150 and you can find Luckys for about $50-$60...

Anyhow I have not yet found the exact "perfect" pair of jeans for a good price. Im not into Holister/A&F/Aeropostal/American Eagle.... So that elimenates a lot of choices I guess.

I came across some MEKs and I came across some Big Star jeans. Anyone ever heard of them and what is your expierence with them?
I cant seem to find them at Nordstrom Rack or Off Saks, or any other store discounters. They are running about in the $150 range. I tried em on and they seem to fit ok, but not sure of the quality and have never really heard of the name. I am asking because I wanted to try and get out of the popular brands like Rock Republic, Sevens and such...

So any opinions on The Buckle store, the MEK brand or the Big Star brand would be greatly appercaited.

Don't pay for a brand name pay for a fit. Levi's make great jeans but they don't have tassles on their pockets so most ppl that shop at the buckle dont like...

I agree with this 100%. Best jeans I've owned/worn have been Levi's. They are quite durable and always have a great fit. I'd rather spend maybe $50 on jeans, but that's just the type of guy I am. I did get a pair of Matix jeans like 8 months ago on sale for like $25 and they have been great so far as well.

I used to work at The Buckle... I hate that place.

But while working there, I got a pair of Mavi's. Not even sure if they're still around, I haven't seem them in years. But that was/still is the best pair of jeans I've ever owned. Levi's are 2nd.

I really want to get a pair of APC NS but at $150+ it's a bit pricey, even if it's probably the best price one can find for raw jeans.

I used to work at the buckle. Most of the jeans we sold were big star or bke jeans (the buckle brand) buckle normally get jeans that can't be found anywhere else. If you like the big star try bke jeans. I am a guy and when I worked there I bought 4 pairs of them, and they are the best jeans I own

I just buy what I find on sale and what fits. The last 2 pairs I bought were from Old Navy and I think I spent $15 for both. Gotta love the clearance section.
