    Just curious about what other people open with them.

    Here's mine:
    • Right-side: Camera (the default)
    • Left-side: Password Keeper - copy/paste passwords is way faster than typing them

    since i have been using a friends 8520 since my 8900 crapped out, i have been using the right side for the camera and the left side as a keyboard lock as it doesn't have what the 8900 has on the top.

    You mean the stand by button? Just press the middle top button (play/pause) for two seconds.

    StandBy Mode & Keyboard Lock are different. The 8900 had both on the top. Standby on the left and pause/play/silent on the right.

    If you use standby Mode, it locks the phone completely including using the music player controls and volume.

    Key board lock locks all the keys from being pressed but still lets you use the volume keys( on the 8900 you could long press the volume keys to switch between the songs).
