If I didn't have my BB i would be lost. It holds tons of info that I can use in the field. Not to mention All of the emails because I am on the industrial side of firefighting and EMT.

High school English teacher. It's far from necessary, but it's really nice to be able to get and respond to emails regardless of where I am. It's also sadistically satisfying to be able to pull out the phone when a student says "I emailed you my paper this morning. It'll be in your inbox, I promise.".....and the fear that takes over the face when I bring up my inbox and it's conveniently empty

I'm a dog trainer. I use the GPS to find homes, email constantly and great calendar. I find I'm able to get more customers because I can return email and answer questions so quickly. I have common training issues and problems answered and saved as templates to my sdcard using BBnotepad. Its also handy to take pics of dogs and attach them to the address book. Helps me remember who the customer is and what we are working on. I'd be lost without my BB.

I am an A+ tech and I get emails from the time I get to work till I leave. I use my personal phone(bold) more than the pearl that the company gave me. Its really cool because my manger uses the pearl flip and he hates the fact that I am rocking my bold great phone.

I'm an Assistant District Attorney. Personal BB, the State can't be bothered to pay us enough to cover student loans, let alone a BB!

I have every case document I generate on here, accessible with Docs2Go, and jury instructions, caselaw, and cheat-sheet outlines for pretty much everything I could run into in court.

I've used the camera to take pics of injuries, and Sprint Navigator to get to meetings.

All of the cops I work with the most have my number, and also the personal email address that goes to the phone. I'm reachable 24/7 if they need me.

I also sync my contacts and calendar, which has major case events for my caseload.

Internet-based criminal histories from the courtroom are nice too

Technical support for Apple products. Also decided to stay with BIS for control. Surprisingly, most of my managers and co-workers have BlackBerry's rather than iPhone's (that says a lot about the functionality of BlackBerry's and the iPhone). We don't get internal documents, that is only available through iDesk behind a firewall (for obvious reasons) but we get updates mailed to us (new handling procedures/SOP's, updated info on Apple Products etc.) And that accounts for many e-mails per day and does not include work related content (info RE: shifts, daily stats, etc.) BlackBerry makes me spend less time at the computer and can read my e-mails on the go.

Adapted Physical Education Specialist in a k-8 school district. I'm itinerant, meaning I go to 5 schools a day to deliver services to kids with disabilities. My calendar keeps me headed the right direction, the email keeps me in contact with teachers about changed schedules, emergency meetings, and kids' absences so I don't run to the school for nothing. I can do quick research on the spot during IEP meetings, and update records on the district's web server. Many teachers are not tech savvy, and when they see how nice it is to be connected without being tethered to the their ancient desktops in their classrooms, they are envious. I pay for all of that myself, so all it takes is opening up the wallet--which teachers hardly ever do, as I'm sure you all know

Lack of BB would significantly reduce my productivity and response time.

I'm a bridal consultant/wedding planner. So...of course, I get quite a few repetitive, blood-draining, emails/text messages - from the, "I'm going to kill my future mother-in-law!!!!", to the "Do you think pink strappy sandals go well with chartreuse tea-length dresses???!!!" variety.

I am self-employed as an accounting software consultant, so I spend a lot of my time on the road on my way to a client, or I am at the premises of one of my clients. Having access to my email and calendar while on the go is invaluable to me, and with the use of Documents-to-Go, I can have my finger on the pulse all the time and respond immediately to leads or support requests.
