i wanna say about 75% of the employees here ( non-temp staff ) have a blackberry..we walk down the hall texting and answering emails ( or they could be on CB.com like me ;) )
I'm a Photographer Manager and a Tour manager. Constant emails and calls. I had to upgrade my phone plan to accommodate all the calls I get.
At least 14 hours of the day I'm on the phone busy.
WHAT!!!! No..Really???? Can you say wow..Ok what kind of battery you use? lol...
I use the regular battery that came with my Bold actually.
I mean I'm on it alot but mine is alive for so long!
I trained it well :)
lol i bet mine dies after 3hrs
Hahah I'm suprised mine last as long as it does.
Here in the future if this decreases I might get a backup battery.
I am a Medic for a company in Virginia. I use it while I am at work to send recieve messages about incidents I have been dispatched to as well as satisfy my Cberry addiction!
So hows that work with the getting dispatched via your storm? Does it work well? If you want pm me or im me on yahoo. Thanks..
the dispatching is being integrated into an email format... had the program for only a few months. just like any new program--has some bugs, but its working about as well as expected for now
ok i so take it you have really good coverage there? lol...Hmm sounds interesting....
oh i forgot if you want bbm me after 11am and we can chat further if you want...i have a meeting till then..see ya.....
yeah...work inside city limits so coverage is decent all around unless I respond to a call in a brick or thick walled structure
Hah whoa man. I'm in the same boat exept I have a huge mortage and a ton of debt. I'm 23 as well and got stuck in this assistant manager job making enough to be comfortable, and my fiance was working for the same company so we were doing well. They just canned her so now I'm like WTF! I realize how insignificant this paycheck is for 50+ hours a week. She just enrolled in school full tim for radiology, but like you I need more options. This was cool when I was 19 with no mortage or kids. Now I got 2 kids, house and 2 cars. Shell be done with school in 18-24 months Then its my turn, but I have no idea which direction to go. restaurant managment has been decent so far but I need to expand. I was a musician in a band until this job, I kept it going for awhile but with the kids the wife the house 50+ hours it was kind of impossible. Still own all of the equiptment to run a full scale live show. Haven't let go yet...

full time college student.
IT Department in a HUGE bank. No need to explain any more, lol...
Operations supervisor for a Municipal utility. My 8900 is my personal phone and I have a Motorola flip at work with direct connect. The motorola is slated to be replaced with an 8350i soon. I wouldn't let them set my 8900 up to access my work email, I'm taking no chances IT would push their policy or WebSense to my personal device.

I feel like such a geek I just wanted a BB, I don't need it for work, in fact out company has a policy reg. smartphones, (If you have on and you want to be on BES, you have to get management app. but if it isn't req. for your job, then they wont support it) go figure. I figured I dont need mt 3 company emails that I get a day coming to my BB, for an extra $5 a month and the headache of BES. I'll stick with BIS and be happy that I can do what I want with it.
Oh by the way, I work at an Automotive Dealership....
Real Estate Appraiser. Mostly commercial property. My BB comes in handy with contacts, e-mail, calendar, phone (of course), and (believe it or not) the camera. I don't carry my work camera with me all the time and in a pinch, the BB camera comes in very handy. i.e. About six months ago, I apprasied a property before improvements. I recently was traveling by the subject and used my BB to take an updated picture for the file and to develope a comparable sale. Since I've gotten my BB, its made my work life much easier.
Government contracts
