hi im from the u.k and i have just recently started watching live nfl games on tv.
was just wondering what teams might do well this season? just out of curiousity really?
the first game i saw was last seasons super bowl final and i have taken a shining to the 49 ers, so thats my team im gonna support from now on lol

What are the best teams is a very subjective thing. You can choose from any of the 32 and decide for yourself.

People who have favorite teams do not choose them because they will do well. They have favorite teams because they grew up watching them or their parents did or they play in the person's hometown or for a any number of reasons.

If you really want commentary on who the favorites are...watch ESPN. There is enough hot air on that station to float a flotilla of hot air balloons. Now that you have chosen a team to follow, have fun learning all about them and watching their games... and the post-mortems after they lose and the headlines after they win.

Also predicting wins and losses is not an easy thing because they play schedules that have varying degrees of difficulty. For instance, a team that wins the division the year before, like the 49ers plays a first place schedule so they play OTHER division winners plus their own division twice and another division (set by the calendar) So a team that won last year will play more first place teams from last year then a team that finished last in its division.

NFL is more like the national pasttime here although people still try to say it's baseball.

Well .... I have to say Chicago Bears all the way. To the OP .... you definitely picked a great team to support.
It's kind of like supporting your football teams in the U.K. You know like Manchester United or Liverpool or any other team. Most of us grew up with the teams we support and some of the rivalries are old and intense ...rivalries like the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers or San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks now. Won't go as far saying the Eagles are best, even though I'm Philly born and raised. My top 5 go 1) Denver Broncos, 2) San Francisco 49ers 3) New Orleans, 4) Philadelphia Eagles, 5) New England Patriots----- Seattle, Atlanta, Arizona could all be 5...just my opinion...

No team is the best right now. But I think at this moment in time there are 20 teams that can win the Super Bowl. I can throw out 12 already. This league is so quick when it comes to teams adjusting and turning things around.
