So I won a used 9700 on Ebay and it's in very good condition but I already have a 9650. Which one should I use in the future? Which one can handle more apps? Apps are very important to me because I use a lot of them

Well, I have only used the 9700 and IMO it is the best BB out there. It is my understanding though that the 9700 and 9650 are the same for the most part. Is the 9700 unlocked or not? If it is see what carrier offers the best coverage in your area and go from there. They both have 256 RAM so no difference there. IMO if I was given the choice between a 9650 or a 9700 I would use the 9700, no questions askd.

The 9650 has twice as much memory as the 9700

So then you've answered your own question. Go for the 9650 since it carries 512MBs. You will have more than enough app space.

    Problem solved!

I live in Norway so I have a GSM band here, but the CDMA phone was unlocked for GMS too.

But can the 9700 handle many apps as well?

Yes, the 9700 can handle many apps, but not nearly as many as the 9650 can, especially if you install a version of OS 6.

Okay. I just want to be able to run crunchSMS and Opera Mini at the same time. Sometimes one app too as well.

like rrrebo said, GSM or CDMA? You said you use GSM, BUT, will the 9650 support 3G (correct bands) if your carrier has it? If it does, go 9650 - double the memory, and OS6 can use some memory.

In that case, go 9650. There should be no reason that you'll take the 9700 over double the memory, which is a life saver with os6.

Sorry,I should have been more specific other than "for the most part." I assumed you already were aware of the double RAM, my bad

You stated that you "won" the 9700 on eBay. When you said won do you mean that you actually won th device for n/c or a bid win? Just curious, that's all.

I bid 210 dollars on a 9700 that is in quite good condition. I never expected it to win, so now I have 2 cellphones. I think I'm gonna use the 9700 a few days to see if it's any better. The call quality on the 9650 is a little bad, probably because it is a CDMA phone....
