I don't have a facebook, myspace, xanga, anything!

They are the bane of Humanity!

There's so much drama, it's not even funny.

Removing a friend from your list is like declaring war.

    But what about Twitter?

Is it as easy to rack up a monumental friend list on Twitter, as it is on Myspace?

    Or does it operate differently?

    So, is Twitter safe?

And is it easy to do via BB?

Oh, Xanga! I completely forgot I had one... moving on.

I deleted Twitter - I much rather update my Facebook status a million times a day. Twitter's just not for everyone!

    myspace = epic fail
    facebook = fail
    twitter = E--- F--- A----
i'll let you fill in the blanks.

My personal feelings are "my phone supports:BBM, AIM, Yahoo!, Google Talk, SMS, MMS, Email, And Phone (if anyone uses that anymore). If you want to know what i'm up to please call me, SMS me, or PM me. and if i want to know "whats on your mind" i'll get ahold of you. plus do you really want your life to be an open book for anyone to read?

I think we should create a Xanga together. Also, I don't like that you called FB an epic fail. I'm going to go blog about this!

Haha, I know. I guess fail is better than epic fail, but no worries, I still know where you stand.

How's Nati, by the way? Even though there are better amusement parks in the country, I still love King's Island.

Also, Prada, I may make a new Twitter account.

I like to lie a bit so twitter can be fun . If you're afraid of being followed by any tom, **** or harry you can protect your tweet updates by locking them up. Have a go at it. Who knows you might be the woman's version Ashton Kutcher?

To this day I don't see the point to Twitter. To me it's just a glorifying of status updates.

Some people use it to its advantages.

For example here in L.A. one of the Lakers talk show hosts Matt "Money" Smith uses it. Once he Twittered that he was going to be at some restaurant after the game and a few fans showed up and it was cool. He's a likeable cat. Now for stuff like that I think is pretty cool.

But then you have "standing in line at the supermarket" status guy. And starting from there it just gets stupider by the minute.

Good it's 68 and sunny today.

King's island is decent, we just opened a new ride this year Diamondback | Fast And Full Of Venom | Kings Island.

I've been to King's Island countless number of time with rides like the Beast, you can't go wrong. Also i've been to Ceder Point, busch gardens SC, and Kentucky Kingdom a few times. My cousin works for SOFTCO so i know all the coaster that are going up from his company.....

(sorry to thread jack a little)

Although everyone in my circle (family, friends, co-workers, acquaintances, acquaintances of acquaintances) tell me to AT LEAST take part in some form of one of the numerous social-networking avenues on the net...I don't. I don't because of the word you just used: "drama".

I may not keep in regular contact with my acquaintances (hence why they're that status anyways); but as far as those same friends/family/co-workers who tell me to join one of those social-networking sites...well I keep in touch with them through the phone/in-person/e-mail/BBM/texts to not have to keep in touch using a social plug-in like facebook, myspace, twitter, etc.

Of course I can definitely see how joining a network can be beneficial in some or many ways to certain people...not for me.

that's the whole deal dude and I'm digging it
That's a deal I don't think is a good bargain. For example...I don't care to know in real time that you just took your 7th step towards the culmination of 226 steps that it takes you to walk from your car to your favorite store in the mall. Or; that you just paid the cashier at Dunkin Donuts $5 for coffee and a doughnut...and that since you're in a perky mood because it's Friday; you let the cashier keep the change and it made you feel good.

But it goes back to the whole "if it floats your boat" bit. If it does; go for it. It does nothing for my battle carrier.

The bigger question is: should you do social networking?

In any case, if someone who is tweeting continually talks about something that annoys you, why do you follow that person? Why subject yourself to that person's tweets?

That is the beauty of it. If you want to talk about blackberry devices, there is a portion for you. Food? Check. Nuclear physics? Yes sir. It isn't forced; you can select who you want to network with.

I always say that people who think outside the box are the ones who are able to take advantage of Twitter. The business aspect is what most people ignore. Me? I love the fact that I can get the best PR people in the biggest corporations in under 140 words. I appreciate the opportunity to fellowship with people of like-minded faith, and the opportunity to see encouragement go both ways.

I get enough inane babbling from people I know in real life, I don't think I need to subscribe to more of it.
Then again I can't really claim to know what it's all about, I've never used Twitter and I don't plan to.
As far as Facebook/Myspace/ and/or the next flavor of the month, it's not my cup of tea, but as long as I don't have to listen to anyone prattle on endlessly about how great and necessary it is, it's tolerable.

We all do so everyday whether we're consciously aware of it or not.

In any case, if someone who is tweeting continually talks about something that annoys you, why do you follow that person? Why subject yourself to that person's tweets?
We both know that NOT everyone who twitters; shares every minute detail of their life...and then there are some that do. If you come across an individual's twitter page once; and then you consider it to be stupid based on that ONE visit and therefore choose to never check their page out again...you aren't following the person.

People who 'think outside the box' can take advantage of any social situation if they choose to and can do so...this isn't limited to twitter and obviously includes other e-social-networking sites (Linkedin, facebook, myspace, etc.); and it most definitely includes social-networking outside of e-networking.

Most of the comments from folks who say they "don't get it" relate to what they consider to be stupid, meaningless tweets; hence my point that reading someone's tweet is voluntary. If one is judge the whole phenomenon by the "stupid" tweet of one person, then I think they are missing the point. Don't follow nonsense. We do the same right here.

I am not trying to convince anybody of the infallibility of Twitter. I simply believe social networking (most notably e-networking) can be of great benefit to everybody. Specifically, Twitter, IMHO, has way more benefits than disadvantages. I think most people (including adherents) don't even realize the benefits. And those benefits surely extend beyond the mindless post of the guy in the grocery line.

I actually thought twitter was pretty stupid until I had to help my wife set one up. She had no intention of having other people follow her every move, but she did want to read what other people were doing. She is a big celeb gossip junky and wanted to follow Ashton Kootcher (no idea if I spelled that right and don't really care), Demi Moore and a few others. I couldn't personally care less about following people like that, but you can get news updates and the like with it. I don't post EVER and have no intention of doing so. The neat thing to me is that I have something on my blackberry that updates from several different news sources on a constant basis and I can just click the link to read the story or watch the video.

Oh and guys....they have porn stars on twitter.

As for facebook, I started using it for work and ended up getting in contact with people that I have not spoken to in decades. I am really bad about staying in touch with people and this makes it pretty easy. I can see what my family is doing based on their comments and posts. I can also see pictures and read articles that they link to. It is a lazy way for me to stay up to date with them.

    Ha, indeed.

Twitter is not too bad; I use it as well as FB. For me, it is more like BBM because there is a lot of talky talk between my peeps on Twitter. I was one of those that bemoaned the existence of Twitter before I got on it; however, it is not as bad as I had once thought.

Lol. You're funny. You seem to take your twitter seriously so good for you. It's about loosening up really. To tweet, for me, is time to unwind, chill, talk abt sweet nothing. Of course I try to avoid tweeting on routine stuff like I do on a daily basis like walking towards a convenience store or picking up litter on the floor and throwing it where it should be in the bin. Like any other type of medium twitter gives me a chance to network, to get to know people from all walks of life. And I enjoy reading their tweets even if their glorifying their status updates (cuz it's abt chilling remember?). On most cases I end up responding to their tweets more than I get people responding to mine. But that's cool with me. So yeah while I'm on it why not just enjoy the moments and not get pissed by what others have to say. Just my two cents worth

I have to agree that I think Twitter is useless. Me and the wifey made one and after a week or so finally decided it was indeed USELESS!!

We have facebooks, and I have a myspace for my business where I have actually gotten to give estimates from so it isnt exactly useless.

I have to agree though Id rather update my Facebook status a million times versus any of the others.

For a lot of people the social networking sites are the only places they can strike up convo's w/ people they normally would not. I on the other hand can strike up a conversation about anything, anytime, anyplace and my wife will vouch for that!!

    Rating -
Myspace -- is the most drama of them all - due to open pages and no restrictions on who can look at them unless set to private
Facebook -- still has its share of drama but is limited to who you add -- plus their mobile app is waaaaaay better
    TWITTER -- Just plain useless
    - Im waking up
    - Im taking a shower
    - Im getting dressed
    - off to work
    - work sux and the coffee is nasty
    - lunch time and its raining
    -off work
    - out to dinner with family
    - out for drinks
    - getting undressed for bed

    ^^^^^
Completely useless for everyone to know except your wife!

Just my .02 on the social networking sites.
