    Oh, no Chad, that was just 157 gallons. I have 240 gallon capacity. Shoulda seen the $800 fill-ups I had last year.

    And that was the 4th time I've fueled this week. That's 4100 miles.

    And I'm a very fuel-efficient driver. I average about 7.5 mpg.

    our 1 fire truck gets 4.5 mpg, thats because stop and go, with hills, and it also carrys 1,000 gallons of water, and 60 gallons of foam

    That's about 8400 lbs. My load now? 35,300. My 1st this week was 44,600. My top is 46k.

    The rig empty is 34k.

    Most of the time I don't use mine. It actually hurts mileage if used incorrectly, but is a necessity for steep and long grades.

    we dont put alot of miles on our trucks, but they do get a beating, different people driving them, and driving to emeregency situations (hard on the gas and brake, weaving in and out of traffic)
