    Gardening Tip:

If you don't have a bottle opener handy, pruning shears are a handy substitute.

Morning Pink, have fun painting. Watch the huffing, we wouldn't want you any dizzier than normal.
OH! Now that's taking ALL the fun out of it-and besides-isnt it the dizzier the better. LOL.

Oh, BTW, my trip yesterday went nicely, especially the trip home, where I ran a fuel mileage run. My old 98 Lumina with 183k miles got 38.3 mpg with a full load and the a/c running. Not bad at all, for an 11 year old full-size car.

I had one of those '80 Honda CVCC's. I had 160000 miles on it. It was parked in fron of my house one night and knocked into the neighbor's yard by a drunk. It was one of my all time favorite cars.

Shelli, I hope your not as picky as I am with painting. I use tape because all edges MUST BE PERFECT, or they bug me forever.

I wonder if that paint applicator you see advertised on TV actually works. You know, the one that gives the perfect coat, goes around corners and light switches, etc etc.

We're moving. I'd love to be able to paint a room or two :3

I believe when they appointed the new group of mods, the instructions were to keep a tight rein on aggressive or abusive or even slightly off color posts. We've been lucky in TBL. I don't think any of us should think a thread that is consistently at the top of the OT tree isn't being visited often by moderators. Many of us here are respected and helpful members so we get maybe a little more wiggle room. That's why some posts are deleted rather than the poster getting a warning or a temporary banishment. But the good will will only go so far, so be careful..

Would that be because the forums (especially storm) were felt to be getting out of hand, not enough mods to keep up.

So, now they have sufficient coverage to bring it back to a point where whoever runs this place thinks it should be. There's my theory.

I mean, none of them can take a joke anymore. Well...a lot of them anyway. There's still my favorite mods who seem to know when users are sharing a joke with one another. CB used to be a lot more kicked back. You used to be able to speak in layman's terms, but since the onslaught of "Storm Troopers", this place has gotten pretty darn uptight.

Good theory Star. The Storm forums have the reputation of being out of hand. I have only visited there a couple times, but they do seem to have a lot of rants. That may also be the reason some mods were chosen over some more deserving members. Only time will tell if the strategy was a good one. My personal opinion of CB has changed, and the amount of time I devote to the core mission of the site has dropped considerably. There, I have said what I have been thinking out loud. CrackBerry made a mistake and have alienated some pretty strong members - and I'm not talking about myself. 12 and SD are two members that come to mind as well as Aristille.
