There's a few language files that have to stay, not just English and Italian. I'll post every file that can safely be removed in a couple for you.
Thanks. That would be awesome. I deleted most of my apps and followed the post on how to free up memory and yet I can't seem to get above 15MB free.

OK kaka, here's the list. It does not contain the Docs files as I use that app. Really the best, and safest way to do it is with CrackMem. It will take care of almost every bit of memory you want to free, without any chance of bricking. You could go further, but only maybe another 500K. And things like Docs can be done through DM alone.

You should definitely be able to get much higher than that. Here's my apps list and my file free after a reset is above 23MB.

And that's a few months old, I've added a couple little things since then. I may not get to genius doing this, but as long as I'm considered an evil genius here, I'm good with it.

    Thanks Wolf!

Once my phone turns back on I can go back and remove that stuff.

    Your welcome kaka, anytime!

Morning Beast, sleep well? Thanks again for last night. Dang, that didn't sound right at all. I hear a "Shut up Wolf" coming on.

Oh, kaka. If you want your 5 favs to show on your berry, you'll want to leave on the net_rim_bb_medialoader_114_five_icon_library.cod file. It really isn't necessary though, as your favs can be set through your PC anyway.

I don't use myfaves so I don't need to worry about that.

There's an icon on here now that wasn't there before... the Certificate Search. I've never seen that before.

I'm using DM to reload my apps... does my BB need to have Blackbery S/MIME Support Package or Blackberry MDS Runtime on it? I don't remember them being checked off before when I've loaded apps.

(Sorry, I'm such a pain. I'm still learning with all of this stuff)

Slept alright. Trying to scrape the fuzz from between my ears, still, but it was lights out.

Kasi, learning these things takes a little time, and that's what we do, help each other.

Yes kaka, I wouldn't mess with those. They should be what works your berry with the PC.

I know. I just feel bad for asking so many questions.

    Ok. I'll leave those be.

I take that back, s/mime has to do with security, so you still don't want to delete it.
    BlackBerry - S/MIME Support Package

And mds is for connecting to a PC, but BES not BIS, so it can be deleted.

No reason to feel bad. Better to not have to delve in deeper to the "OH SCHITT" regions. That woluld take even longer to sort out.

Don't ever feel bad about it kaka, you should see the activity on my BBM from one certain character alone.

Ditto here, and we all learn from each other. I can't tell you how much I learned just by paying attention to posting, or from my dumb mistakes, even.

Beast, I don't bloody believe it! Threw some clothes on to walk the emonster, and it's pouring again. That's day 6 by my count, only 34 to go.

That's on my Curve. It's up to 30MB now that I removed the MDS thing. But this is before adding Google Maps, Facebook, and Twitterberry. I may not put Twitterberry back though.

Really kaka, anytime. And if I don't see your post, you can always PM me. I get an email alert with them, so I can't miss it. That file free is outstanding, with it that high, you'll rarely have to do a reset. There's a memory clean app contained in security you can set up. It will reset when you do reboot, but it will keep things much smoother in between.
I learned something from the Beast last night myself. Was going to do a wipe and reload my OS this morning, but at the last second was saved. There's a certain smart-a$$ on this thread, that I'm going to have to slap.

You might be able to manage Facebook with the extra memory a little bit better, kasi, but it is a notorious troublemaker. I've watch it pull 15-20MB down on my daughter's 8330. I can't count the troubles I've seen with the earlier versions and Pearls.
