Got the HID lights installed in the bike. They're good and bright. Woohoo! I can't believe how much less expensive these have gotten these last few years.

I still need to figure out a good way to mount these in my Fusion, since the id1ots used a non-standard mounting system.

Kinda like my rig, which uses a non-standard variation of the 9005/9006 bulbs designated by XS, because they're straight instead of 90� angled, and the bulb holes are staggered, so using the standard version is out of the question.

Non standard things like light bulbs are frustrating. I hate it. On the plus side I just rode the bike about 90 miles in crosswinds gustiing to 40, and the bike handled well. The HID lights worked like a champ too.

I'm jealous of those car owners, definitely some beautiful machinery.

I spent yesterday at Mackinaw Island. Here's a crappy pic of the Mackinaw Bridge as seen from the boat on the way back from the island:

I shoulda posted my experience from Friday actually on friday instead of now, so I'll just go ahead:

I took the bike straight across the waterfront trail (from niagra falls to quebec is the length of the trail) all the way to the last GO station before entering pickering. Must I say, I should never have left late to go, cause I made it there at 8:37pm, got home at... 3:37am. I guess I should have grabbed a meal at a regular small restaurant, because the pizza really did me in!!!

All in all, it was such a nice ride. Didn't get any photos, but I did drive through some pitch-black dark lightless pathways, ME FELT LIKE A SUBWAY WITH THE POWER GONE OUT!!! but it was fun as a mild rollercoaster too, some deep curving twisting hills took me to 80 km/h on small winding streets.

So, have you done something similar? Oh and that bridge, it's not a crappy photo, just look at the skyline!

I've never ridden a bicycle anywhere particularly far, much less at night. I do ride the motorcycle at night occasionally, although I sure don't prefer doing that.

The picture would have been better if I had gotten my Canon DSLR out, as it stands this pic was taken with my Droid 2.

I got a few interesting photos from around the island, the fort and the like. I'll throw 'em on photobucket sometime later.

I wish my bike was running but then I'd have to pay Washington like $100 anyway so... oh well.
