    Not if they can fix things before they get too far gone. I know folks that are running more now in their 40s and 50s than they ever did in their 20s. Only because they teamed up with a good Ortho, who let them know exactly what needed to be done from rehab to surgery. So get tons of second and third opinions, even if it means traveling to get it taken care of.

    Yeah, a good surgeon will it - you just need to stick to the rehab schedule and you'll be back to work. One of our fire lieutenants just had a total knee replacement and is back to work.
