It installed fine on my Pearl, I just haven't gotten around to switching my sim and trying it out yet.


The avatar thing is a glitch in this version. People were fussing about it but one of the mods (CX, I think) confirmed that they do have it in newer versions. If you want an avatar for a contact with this version, they have to send you the image and you have to save their pin and the image to your address book, then sync it to BBM.

I noticed a lot of people experiencing issues with the 8330's downloading this version. I've seen a few posts claiming it has to do with what version of 4.5 you are running. Everyone that was running .77 ran into a problem with it not showing up.


I believe it can be any image, Wolf. Not too sure about that though because I haven't done it yet. I also don't know if any of my contacts upgraded yet.

I see everyone is dwnld the new bbm-im just gonna wait that out-i have .77 on Vzw and that's where most complaints are stemming from. Mine works fine-cuz if I screw something up-i won't know how to fix it

Good morning everyone. I finally got the new bbm going, but I have lost some contacts. I restored a backup file, but not all came back. I will restore a different file in a bit and see if I can get everyone back.

An FYI, the Tour 5.0 bbm OTA download will install on 5.0.0.100 for the 8900. That os is trouble. The 5.0 os for the Bold didn't have trouble with the new bbm, just the 8900's.

I haven't checked Kanga's address file yet. I had 2 somehow for Mike, transferred the info from one to the other, and deleted one. I think I deleted the wrong one, it had a yellow box, and I thought it would show up on the other once there was one.
