Today was sort of average. Did a bit of cleaning around the house and some goodies arrived via UPS. The main items were a new rear spring for the bike and an LED tail light assembly.

Ray Charles could see this thing in broad daylight easily when the brake is activated, and it is brighter than the old incandescent brake light was when just the running light is on. When the brakes are activated it flashes the light a few times to get folks' attention. All in all this should be one of the better mods I can do.

I need to find a way to compress the old and new spring to change them out or call around to some shops in the morning and see whether they've got a few minutes to do it. The spring is too small to work with a regular automotive spring compressor set.

In other news, I'm watching "Miinority Report" currently. Good film.

Got the new "fat kid" spring installed on the bike. Wow, it is weird having an actual suspension versus the original spring rated well south of my weight.

Checked the radar before I left the house to go to work and it looked close to being clear of rain. Starting a few miles from home, it wasn't. Didn't get soaked though, just my shoes and the bottom foot of my pant legs, other than that the upper fairings of the bike kept me pretty dry when moving.

What's everyone up to this weekend? Parties, etc? If no, why not, seize the day...

I wonder how well it would go over to work the phrase "I'm not a gynecologist, but if you want, I'll take a look anyway" into a conversation with an attractive stranger of the female type... Probably one of those lines that's either going to work really well or get you slapped. Someone should try it out and see...
