I'll pass on the pressure tank work. I've never done that, but I am good at installing toilets and faucets.

It isn't hard to do, just a hassle and expense I wasn't looking forward to.

I learned how to install toilets and faucets from my late Dad. Unfortunately I never got to learn how to install pressure tank or hot water tank. He did install those, though.

This will be my first pressure tank, but I've done water heaters before, gas and electric. The pressure tank should be easier due to less fittings and so forth.

If ya get bored and feel like driving about 6 hours you can come see how to do it. lmao!

I've never seen an electric wter heater. Everyone I know has gas.

Good luck with the pressure tank. I know those things are a newer requirement. Nobody used them back in the day. Water heater was it.

Electric is easier than gas due to the fact electricity won't leak out and blow your house up. . Just have to connect the wires (color coded if modern setup) after filling the tank with water (or at least wait til it's full to activate the heating elements to avoid damage to them).

I have a pressure tank because I'm on a well. This keeps the well pump from short cycling (running for a few seconds and shutting off only to start again a few seconds later). That will cause premature wear to the pump motor and related parts. Right now my house still has water despite the broken pressure tank, I just need to use it sparingly so I don't make the pump cycle too much before I replace the pressure tank.

I don't have BBM either. Oh well. What do you tend to use most? I'm a combo of SMS and Yahoo with a little LiveProfile thrown in.

You get paid for it right? That's like overtime isn't it? it sucks to work more, particularly with your weekends being used for visiting, but extra money sure doesn't hurt in the long run...

Electric bills are more $ than gas bills here, so most folks prefer gas appliances.

I hope you get a chance to do something fun beside work.

    I'm loving 9700/6.0.0.461. I also love BBM beta 5.0.2.11.

Yahoo and Gtalk are my favorite ways to chat with Android/iPhone buddies.

Yep, sure sucks from that standpoint, but if you save up, that'll help when it is time to get a different house.

Where are you going to move to and why there?

In the city, the economics change in favor of the natural gas appliances since it's cheap. Out in the sticks like me on propane, the electrics make more sense in many places because electricity tends to be cheaper than propane. At least per the numbers I've been running when I check occasionally.

Just hate this town. Never lived anywhere else and I'm tired of the people here. Also need to move closer to bfs work office so he won't be away as much.

I don't even know how to cook on an electric range. I've never used anything except gas.

I couldn't live in the sticks. I'd die of boredom.
