Regardless that it got a 05% on rottentomatoes, and was hailed as "worse than lady in the water".

Sometimes, the reviewers get it right. they culled the best bits they could find to make up the promos. Kinda like finding the gold from Goldschlager after you've tossed it back up. There ain't much, and it's hard to find.

I'm glad to see your review, since it looked good from the previews I saw the last time I went to the movies. I'll definitely pass on this one.

That happens a lot, though. Many movies show all the good parts in the previews, but the movies themselves are awful.

That is probably an accurate description.

Reminds me of the massive WTF I had after Signs. Here you have an alien invasion of a race that has mastered space travel and invisibility, yet cannot handle water? And then they invade a world that is 78% water? Yeah, I'd like to see how they managed New Orleans in August.
