Sure, you'll have absolutely NO service for a few months, but eventually they'd rebuild it and upgrade the equipment at the same time.

I've mostly been explaining that CDMA phones cannot be unlocked (no 8330 on T-Mobile). Most of my posts today involved "no 8900, 8320, etc. on Boost". Plus "CDMA carriers only accept devices with their branding. No Sprint phones on VZW, etc." I wish they had a sticky about the differences between GSM and CDMA.

Well, it's not common knowledge. To the average person, a phone is a phone. That phones operate on different frequencies/bands/standards is something most people would not guess.
Unless they spend too much time on forums such as this.

That is true. Although folks who travel a lot know. My friend's parents go to Europe every year. They always use cheap phones with prepaid SIM cards in Europe, since they have VZW.

I may have to do something like that the next time I leave the country. I hate not being able to use my device, for fear of roaming charges.

Thought I'd stop in & say "Good Morning," although nothing about today is good for me. Yesterday was "Annoy the Ever Living **** Out of Kasi" day. Today is "Leave Kasi the **** Alone or She Might Snap" day. The result of yesterday. Yeah, I'm not in a very good mood today. Forced to wake up 3 hours sooner than I needed to, work a shift for someone else (after I said NO 5 times) on my day off when I'm already covering another person's night shift, & not able to take care of stuff I needed to get done before I came in tonight.



They have an app for that? I used to play that, but since I'm rarely on the PC I don't very often anymore.
