Interesting. I have a 9000, which isn't known for being good with battery life, but mine is always around 50% after 8 hrs. of use. I don't talk much, but I use data a lot (generally about 3 hrs. 45 min. of data use).

I've always found data to consume much more battery than the phone. I dropped over 50% today, in about 3 hours of constant Google Map use. That would be less than half on the phone. It's getting late for my old booty. Night Laura and Vamp.

I do not use Google maps. I use BB Maps or Garmin Mobile. However, I do not use these often.

Most of my data is email, MMS, web browsing and BBM.
